Do you enjoy working under the hood on Android? Building background services that collect data, monitoring the system for changes, detecting if the device has been rooted or tampered with?
We have the perfect opportunity for you….
We are looking for an Android Developer to join our Mobile team. You will help to build new features for our Android Data and Device Security (DDS) product. This product collects and reports information from managed devices to our Monitoring Center. It also receives and executes security policies on the endpoint, to protect the data, the user, or the device.
You will work as part of a scrum team, participating in planning and execution. You will have ample opportunity to innovate and shape the future of the product. To be successful on our team, you will need to be a fast learner, adaptable, and arrive every day with a “can do” attitude.
Accountabilities Will Include:
- Adding features to our Android client. This includes all aspects of the software development lifecycle (requirements analysis, design, coding, build, unit test, integration test, QA, documentation, etc.)
- Collaborating on the design of the complete solution, including the Monitoring Center components such as the UI and middle tier RESTful endpoints.
- Active participation in the Mobile scrum team, both planning and execution.
- Provide support and troubleshooting when problems arise.

What You'll Need:
- Good communication skills, both written and oral.
- 5+ years of professional experience as a developer, with a minimum of 3 years developing software for Android.
- Experience building features on Android that use background services, Location Technologies, Alarm Manager, Wake Locks, HTTPS, Cryptography
- Experience using Android Studio, Gradle and git.
- Experience fine tuning applications to minimize resource usage (memory, data, power and footprint).
- A Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Experience creating and extending RESTful endpoints using Java and Jersey, would be an advantage.
- Experience developing for a SaaS/Cloud product is highly desirable.
